His father infected him with the Stoasuacha virus at an early age. As a young child, he was taken on the mineral search by his father, Alois Steiner Sr., who was already considered a legend in collectors’ circles. When he found his first stone at the age of five, his passion was awakened, which was preserved to him until today.

His first emerald finds were due to the hard hay work on the Seidl in the Habachtal. His enthusiasm no longer knew any limits and so he could look forward to numerous finds.

Rare topaze in the Untersulzbachtal, the Mineral Woodhouseite, the famous emerald stage “Madonna”, magnificent sphene and excellent rock crystals and smoky quartz were among his finds.
