Very spectacular ALPINE TURMALINE specimen with beautiful shiny crystals. We go ourselves again and again in this area on mineral search, find occasionally also still some useful stages, such however no more.
This piece comes from the finding place in the Mischlingsgraben on the Kopralpe in east Carinthia, at the border to Styria.this finding place delivered approx. 50 years ago great mineral specimens, particularly black TURMALINE and this is still one, again emerged.
The old crystalline of the Koralpe is approx. 120 million years old and again and again one finds here PEGMATIT outcrops with various crystals.
