An absolute rarity – quartz crystals on dove blue chalcedony and siderite iron ore . The name amethyst is basically not correct, because the blue chalcedony, on which the quartz crystals are grown, shines through and thus gives an amethyst-like color. This name has been accepted by the miners at that time.
This piece is from level 58. The mine was closed in 1977 and is no longer accessible.
