The area south of the Colorado Plateau has been a national park since 1982. Park Rangers monitor the millions of visitors a year so that no piece is taken with them.

Colourful, over 200 million years old silica piece of an araucaria with its tooth content.

I bought a party with a few hundred kilos about 15 years ago. The material was recovered around 1960 in the Petriefied Forest and “forgotten” on a farm in Nevada. Unfortunately, there are only a few more pieces left.
