Puddingstone – Herfordshire

Large polished slab of conglomerate rock that is not seen that often.

Classic sedimentary rock with at least 50% rounded components.

Pudding stone is a silica-cemented conglomerate with rounded flint pebbles, quartz, silica slate and jasper

The name comes from the English Christmas pudding, which is a type of bread dumpling with dried fruit and looks just like these conglomerates.
