Tiger iron is a mineral mixture of alternating proportions of:
Tiger eye – jasper and magnetite/hematite
Layered structure of 2,3 MILLIARDEN years old magnetite ICE OXYD from volcanic origin, that was deposited in deep sea trenches, with reddish brown jasper. In later times, first hawk’s eye and then the well-known tiger’s eye formed in the cavities due to the incorporation of LIMONITE.
The layers in this rough stone are banded by enormous pressures.
