VH003 - TITEA SINGULARIS - Verst. WOOD

Relatively rarely one finds among the petrified woods the remains of TREE COLORS, recognizable at the lighter leading bundles of the root mantle. The dotted optics led to the name ” STARSTEIN ” – or ” WURMSTEIN ” – referring to curved guide bundle structures and cavities. Especially good to see in polished cross sections.

The age of this fossilized FARNE (the ferns were once as large as our trees today) is between 240 – 275 million years. Our offered pieces are first class, because even the bark is still completely preserved.

Polished on one side – Weight: 1.20 kg Dimensions: 16 x 13 x 4 cm

Picture 4 is the not polished backside.

Place of discovery: Araguaino Petrified Forrest – Northern Brazil
