ZIRKON xx - HYAZINTH

The red-brown CIRCONS are also called HYAZINTH.

ZIRCON is a very hard mineral, the crystal form is short columnar.

This small specimen comes from Madagascar and shows under UV – light up to 3 colors.

In the CIRCONS, as in the GRANATE GROUP, all colours can appear .

Be careful when buying green ZIRCONES – so called HIGH ZIRCONES have a content of radioactive elements – like URANIUM or THORIUM .

These HYAZINTHE are NOT radioactive !
