Australian EDELOPAL RAW STONE
BOULDER OPAL = Matrix opal
A distinction is made between the so-called COMMON OPALS, i.e. OPALS without play of color, e.g. milk opal - dendrite opal - wood opal - porcelain opal and many others, and the EDELOPALS.
BOULDER OPALS are precious opals that can become very expensive depending on the proportion of iridescent colors.
The OPAL components in our pieces range from white-bluish to pink-violet to deep blue - there are always flashes of green or violet, depending on the incidence of light.
The stones come from finds in the QUEENSLAND OPAL FIELD, namely from QUILPIE in SOUTH WEST QUEENSLAND - Australia
