Large "MOOSACHAT" rough stone. The quotation marks in the name are because this mineral is NOT ACHAT, which has become established as a trade name.
MOOSACHAT is actually a DENDRITE CHALCEDON - i.e. a colorless, coarse to translucent CHALCEDON with intercalation of green HORNBLENDE with moss-like structures, iron components can produce brown to reddish colorations. The stones are NOT banded, so they are not ACHATE.
