NEWLY ARRIVED:
The most spectacular amethyst quartz specimens ever found in South Africa have been on the market since 2000. The name refers to the appearance. Along the mother crystals of the first generation, countless small crystals of the second generation have formed along the prism faces, but the crystal end faces have always remained free.
These great specimens are found in quartz veins in the so-called Bushveld Complex, a world-famous magmatic formation with large deposits of platinum and chromium.
These CACTUS PEARLS are only found at different intervals. Often there are only a few or no specimens at all - at the moment there are several finds available again - the only question is for how long, as early as 2004 it seemed as if the site had died out.
Place of discovery: Bushvelt Complex - approx. 70 km north of Pretoria -Rep.South Africa
Weight of this stage: 350 g
Dimensions: 11 x 7 x 6 cm
