Hawk's eye = fine-fibered quartz AGGREGATE with blue-grey color.
Partial pseudomorphic transformation of an asbestos mineral, i.e. KROKYDOLITH, into quartz by retaining the stem-like structure.
With polished stones, this creates the famous "CAT'S EYE EFFECT".
The much better-known tiger's eye is formed from falcon's eye by the incorporation of LIMONITE = secondary IRON.
In our raw material you can sometimes recognize both varieties, i.e. hawk's eye and tiger's eye.
