BERGKRISTALL with largely undamaged end faces .
This piece was found in the 1960s, during the construction of the Margritzen reservoir, when the miners of the construction team enlarged a narrow quartz fissure in the Elisabeth wall with the help of explosives - according to reports - to such an extent that several large steps and individual crystals could be recovered.
Strangely enough, BERGKRISTALL finds in the area of the highest mountain in the Eastern Alps (3,878 m) are rather rare, especially on the Carinthian side.
GLOCKNERKRISTALLE are almost impossible to find on the market...!
