The name "REGENWALD" RHYOLITH is, as with many stones, a fantasy name. Most of these stones are colored with even more shades of green - this one is almost an exception - and their appearance is reminiscent of a tropical jungle.
RHYOLITH is a volcanic effusive rock and consists mainly of quartz and FELDSPAT. Typical for these Australian RHYOLITHs are the bright spots of embedded CHALCEDON, which has crystallized in the cavities of the volcanic rock.
