Jasper is a microcrystalline variety of quartz - mostly blotchy, striped or brecciated.
Different colors and patterns due to different iron oxides.
They can be found all over the world, but it is rather rare to find beautifully colored red specimens.
This rough stone is cut on one side - NOT polished.
