VESUVIAN is a silicate mineral, the crystals are columnar, brown in color, translucent, with vitreous luster. Several well-formed VESUVIAN CRYSTALS sit on a METAMORPHITE MATRIX on the small specimen.
Another name for VESUVIAN is IDOKRAS.
