Typical mineral paragenesis from the famous mining district Wölsendorf-Oberpfalz - Bavaria. The mining of GALENIT was already documented in 1472. In the 19th century, Wölsendorf was one of the world's largest suppliers of FLUßSPAT to the metallurgical and glass industries.
The last mines were closed in 1987.
This FLUORITE specimen is studded with many CHALCOPYRITE CRYSTALS, and there are also xx of pink-colored BARYT.
