From an old collection - WULFENIT = GELBBLEIERZ step from the TYPLOKALITÄT - BLEIBERG/KREUTH
Franz Xaver Freiherr von Wulfen first identified this mineral as Carinthian "Bleyspath" in 1785. This MOLYBDäN BLEI mineral was later named after Wulfen.
Of course, today there are WULFENITE from stock in Namibia, Mexico, USA.... ONLY BLEIBERG is the TYPLOCALITY and WULFENITE from here have a completely different status among collectors!
This specimen with the typical orange colors and beautiful crystals comes from the STEFANIE mine, where the best WULFENITE was found, but only sporadically, often for years NOTHING:!
