WULFENIT step with BLEIERZ from the TYPLOCALITY BLEIBERG - Carinthia
First described in 1783 by Franz Xaver Freiherr von WULFEN as Carinthian "Bleyspat" - this mineral was later named after WULFEN in 1841. WULFEN was a Jesuit, botanist and mineralogist. A rare plant that only grows in the Himalayan region and in the Carinthian wetlands, the WULFENIA, was also named after him.
